Our Story

We purchased this small, 5 acre vineyard in 2009 and conducted comprehensive evaluations of soils, vine, and irrigation. Replaced over 350 vines. Deep investments made over a 4- year period to improve overall quality of soil, vines and irrigation. 2013 was our first vintage. We produced just 100 cases.

A Unique Terroir Footprint

The vineyard presents a unique intersection of volcanic bench land with river rock laced soils combined with hot summer days and cooler evenings to create a unique terroir footprint. At 245 feet above sea level, the vineyard’s location offers moderate levels of sun exposure with cool evening fog.

We Let The Wine Speak for Itself

By letting the vineyard showcase the wine, not the vintner, we have made a well-balanced cabernet with both berry and plum flavors.

"The wine maker and the glass blower have much in common both combine their own skill with color and intensity to create works of art."

- David Placek, Winegrower

Our 2017 Vintage

Several long, hot days during the summer resulted in a smaller harvest but one with more intense fruit. offering the concentration we experienced in our 2013 vintage, which sold out in a few months.

The 2017 is well- balanced with notes of berry, plum and cassis. We carefully selected the grapes from just 4 rows in the vineyard – rows 6,7, 8 and 9 and all were picked by hand.

The wine is 92% cabernet sauvignon, 3% Malbec, 3% Petite Verdot and 2% Merlot.

This vintage was picked from rows 6,7,8 and 9, which was farmed and pruned by the owner.

A family-owned vineyard in the heart of the beautiful Alexander Valley in Sonoma, CA. 16 kilometers north of the town of Healdsburg. Just 5 Acres. 3,500 vines. Our vision is simple: Make excellent, balanced cabernet. Let the vineyard and the grapes speak for themselves.
